Finally done! The whole time I’ve had this quilt someone in the house has had the flu and if I’m sick or not, I’m wiping noses and making sure fevers are down. There were forces at work that did not want this quilt finished! But it’s finally done!
I’ve posted lots of pics of the quilting. The piecing was perfection and the wool applique so beautiful. I quilted in the backgrounds to compliment the scenery around the barns and outlined almost every single piece of wool to really make the applique “pop.” The sashing had a primitive vine design and the corner stones, a simple flower. The outside border is what I call a “primitive piano key.” I feel so lucky that I was able to work on this beautiful quilt!
